General Information about the Tourism and Gastronomy Management Programs

The Council of Higher Education and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye have launched a collaboration that will bring about significant changes in tourism education. As part of this initiative, Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Tourism has been selected as one of the pilot universities, opening the door to a major transformation.

Within this framework, starting from the 2025-2026 academic year, a quota of 30 students has been allocated to the Tourism and Gastronomy Management Programs of our Faculty of Tourism, where education will be offered entirely (100%) in English. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and earn income through paid internships in the industry starting from their first year. Professional mentorship will also be provided by universities and industry representatives.

Our department continues with a four-year undergraduate education following a one-year compulsory English preparatory program at Dokuz Eylül University School of Foreign Languages, one of Turkey’s most advanced institutions equipped with the necessary visual and auditory technologies for effective language learning.
