INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND SUSTAINABILITY IN TOURISM AND GASTRONOMY

Esteemed scholars and researchers,

We are pleased to invite you to the International Symposium on Digital Transformation and Sustainability in Tourism and Gastronomy hosted by Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Tourism on 14 September 2023.

This symposium is carried out with a prospective vision of the digital transformation in the tourism and gastronomy sector, with digitalization being one of the priority trends and needs for sustainable development and the commercialization of innovative touristic products, which enable the economic, social and environmental benefit of the host communities. The international symposium aims to bring together specialists, early career researchers, consultants, and academics in the business, management, and hospitality sectors to share their expertise and jointly discuss the role of digital transformation and sustainability in tourism and gastronomy. Therefore, we aim to provide a space for dialogue, reflection and dissemination of knowledge and experiences of the researchers and lay the groundwork for new collaborations.

This Symposium is open to all. Participation is free of charge. The congress will be hosted online (via Zoom). The Zoom link will be announced via our official social media accounts. Please follow our social accounts for further updates.

Short presentations will be delivered on any topic that fits the symposium’s theme in the field of tourism and gastronomy. Specific examples of relevant topics include the following but are not limited to:
