Dokuz Eylül University, is one of twenty universities selected by the Turkish Higher Education Board for pioneering the internationalisation process of Turkish Higher Education. Our University is among the largest higher education institutions with international students coming from all around the World and students coming from various cities in Turkey. Dokuz Eylül University has a prestigious position among Turkish higher education institutions and besides, it aims to foster its position in education and research on a global scale and to become a pioneer in the global knowledge production network.
Our university encourages the international mobility of students and researchers in order to improve the quality of education and research. Moreover, it encourages the internationalisation of funding opportunities for research and developing strategic international alliances for improving education and research quality at the university. Therefore, the internationalisation strategy of the university is a multi-faceted and long-term strategy embedded in all areas of university life. Internationalisation is a priority of our Faculty in line with the Strategic Plan and the Internationalisation Strategy of our University. The programs at Our Faculty offer curricula that are adapted according to global dynamics and local characteristics and which are updated according to global necessities. Thus, our Faculty aims to graduate students with internationally valid qualifications.
In line with the requirements of the European Higher Education Area, at our Faculty, the contents of the courses are updated regularly. As part of its internationalisation strategy, the course/subject titles of all degree programs are easily available on the website of Dokuz Eylül University. Dokuz Eylül University publishes the course catalogue in the national language and in English.
The curricula and the courses offered by our Faculty are easily accessible in the catalogue which provides detailed, user-friendly and up-to-date information on the institution’s learning environment involving the qualifications offered, the learning, teaching and assessment procedures, the level of programs. Besides, at international scientific events held by our Faculty, the students find an opportunity to listen to recent debates about tourism from international speakers.
